Twenty day lasting Manicure, find out which two off the shelf products I used!

HERE'S WHAT LASTED 20 DAYS BOTH TIPS AND POLISH!

What could it be?  Even I was shocked at how well they both lasted!  Here's my tips when first done!

Now considering I have never applied tips and that these took seconds a nail, I am really impressed with the way they looked, unfortunately due to me testing the two colours I had to choose from I did this......

Can you see my nice pink thumb? Well a few had a slight pink tinge so was left no choice but to go buy a base/top coat (I was being stingy when I bought the colours) and stick to the red! Red Hot to be precise! Also as much as I love my Tweexy, you cannot do your nails, whilst the car is moving,  I had fun trying! Fine in traffic! Surprisingly, speed bumps and painting nails just don't mix, whoda funked it?!?
So Red Hot nails it was for me and no stains I hope with the base coat I should have bought and used to begin with!

Here's my Hot Red nails with a few decals to break and mix it up a bit! To be honest I didn't hold hopes for either as they were both cheap in comparison to others I have tested and seen. So the test began! I continued my day to days, going to work, housework, gardening, playing with the kids, Lego building, dog walking etc etc etc....we all know what we get up to! Too much then a little more!

Here you can see how level they were, my nails were right to the skin, under the tips, I hate that, they felt secure and looked real, my only issue was I used white tips, I did this as I didn't want to waste the natural ones if I got it all wrong on my first attempt, none went wrong, its too easy to get wrong! So the white stuck out like a sore thumb, the only polish issue I had was the tips, take a look!

Not a great look but it was my choice, so I topped my tips up every night as and when needed, took minutes! And with my new gadget that had arrived, it was even easier! My Handirest I am quite heavy handed, I shake also so this is a dream to me, no more shakes AND best of all, I remember my nails are wet and leave them on the Handirest until dry, I am terrible for knocking my nails together and having to start again! And with my Tweexy too, I didn't need a tray to watch TV at the same time, with bottles skidding all over....know what I mean? Yeah weve all been there, these two are well worth the investment in my opinion, especially for a ametuer like me with shakes and no steady hand! My right hand is always the hardest but it was a breeze using these!
The days past, I continued working and doing all I do, still no chips, only the odd tip every now and then, they were only so noticeable due to the in your face white I painted over!
Very Berry anyone? Of course I had to get in some home grown fruit, my garden is my baby, its hard work but well worth it!!

Had a few accidents, all of them happened in my sleep, I've said before I really don't know what it is i do in my sleep, these tips were solid, so I haven't a clue how I did them, I just fixed and continued seeing as it only took seconds!

After about 7 days and still both tips and polish were in tact, I got a bit bored with the shiny rubies on my fingers, so I treated myself!
Who doesn't love a Matte top coat? I got Barry M due to it being the only one I could find as I was at the same supermarket as I got the tips and colour from. Not the best place to go cosmetic shopping, but sometimes the cheapest ;)

I loved it, totally mixed it up a bit!
Was like a whole new mani!
The days flew by, before I knew it was another friday, its not like I've had a quiet few weeks, its been mental to be fair, but still these bad boys stayed put, except for a few erratic night rips, I say rips as when they did break it wasn't the tips just falling off, it would rip the tip, leave some behind, scares me what I am doing to do that to myself without knowing :/

More berries from my Garden?! Why not ;)

You can see the tips here and the regrowth, where the nails were growing, the gel was moving and had lifts that were catching and ripping out my hair..ouch! Plus the shine was coming through as you can see, the Matte effect had gone flat! So I asked the followers what they think I should do, refill and paint or take off and have a new mani!

The Ruby 'Hot Reds' were back, I didn't refill as planned I filed the lifts down to the nail bed and repainted!! A new mani again, but it didn't last long at all this time, I did my two toilets and the bathroom a few days later this was after a long day at work, naturally, and they were like this!

So that was the end of the Lasting Gel nail colour! You want to know what it was I take ;)
Who just scrolled, I know I would ;)
Here is is

There you have it, the polish that lasted 20 days all in, even at the end it wouldn't have took long to tidy up! This is a test so that was it, I feel 20 days smashed it really!! What to you think? It has a wide brush, I did at the beginning  struggle and made a bit of a mess, but I did get used to it in time!
At £2.99 a pop, this is a must have, save all the expensive for good times and this for during the week, grafting time! You don't have to have the base/top coat, I believe it played a massive part in it lasting so long! Even after all my touch ups and redo, I still have loads left, its hardly put a dent in it! So Collection Lasting Gel has passed and the longest test yet!
Now down to the tips! I took the polish off and had to laugh, I couldn't rub hard as I didn't want the gel or tips to come off!

Slightly pink I call this colour ;) Yet the tips are still on and looking fine!
Its a shame but where my nails started growing under these too caught my hair, clothed and anything I touched so at the end of that day

Ouchie, Nah only one hurt the others I only noticed when I put the key in the door after work, so that was it the Tips, also done, theses lasted 22 days in total, yes you heard me 22!! I lost count, I had to go through my photos and check the dates it lasted so long! These I give 10/10

You get, 40 tips, the Gel overlay, gel activator two files and a pipet for the Gel activator! You first of all stick the tip in desired place, cut to shape if necessary, then apply the gel overlay, it is just like nail polish, put a little more on the smile, then put a couple of drops of the activator and bobs your uncle you are done!!! All that for just £7.99 in Asda! You are talking £30 plus in a salon and I bet they don't last 20 days!
As you know I used the white, here's what I have left

I could still get three more manis out of that, whether the Gel overlay will stretch I don't know, it is advertised as two manicures, but I cut down and reshaped a few so to only use one spur! They also have Calcium in them to help your nails strengthen! There are so many good qualities in these, I WILL be getting more, for when a nail breaks, I seriously hate having to cut my nails the same length, just because one broke, these will be perfect, cheap, fast and last!!

So there you have it, at long last you know what and how!
You can get your polish and the Calcium Tips at any good Supermarket, Superdrug & Boots !! Go check out all their colours!
